This initiative allows participants to host rescued animals for a minimum of two nights, providing a much-needed break from the shelter environment. Research by Maddie's Fund indicates that even a single overnight stay can significantly reduce a dog's cortisol levels, thereby enhancing their chances of adoption. The program is open to fully vaccinated adult animals, and prospective foster hosts can reach out to HSNEGA's Foster Coordinator for more details or to schedule a home inspection if new to the program.
