A comprehensive eye exam will include a thorough vision and health history, testing the visual acuity, eye muscle balance, tracking, focusing ability, a microscopic examination of the structures in the front of the eye, and an examination of the structures in the back of the eye which may require dilation of the pupil, depending on the case. Also, each patient is evaluated closely to assure that there is no glaucoma, cataracts, or macular degeneration.
