This entails dilated retinal exams, digital image retinal photography, correspondence with your primary care physician or endocrinologist and appropriate referral to retinal surgeons if the need arises. Both Dr. Lamp and Dr. Kissling periodically lecture at diabetes education courses that are offered through Mid-America Diabetes Association.
