Lake Erie’s Rattlesnake Island (Ohio) is an 85-acre island located 60 miles northwest of Cleveland near Put-In-Bay, the popular South Bass Island resort town. Rattlesnake Island is one and a half to two hours away from both Cleveland and Detroit and is easily accessible by boat or plane. The Island is the home to Rattlesnake Island Club (RIC), a seasonal private country club resort with only 65 members. The nearest largest city to Rattlesnake Island is Sandusky, which has a shopping mall, a movie theater, as well as one of the largest amusement parks in the world – Cedar Point!
